What you'll need: Brandy (any kind is fine, I
just had the dude at the liquor store pick out a random kind for me.) Spanish
table wine, however I used a cabernet/merlot blend. It made the sangria less
crazy sweet, which I like. I added pomegranate juice and orange juices. Simple
syrup. Ice. Then I used blackberries and oranges to garnish.
To start, add one cup of the brandy
one cup of the pomegranate juice
One cup of orange juice
This is the simple syrp I made.I added about a half a cup and then added more at the end when everything was mixed, if needed. Its equal parts hot water and sugar. I used sugar in the raw, so mine turned out this weird brown color
Now add most of the wine until the pitcher is full
ice, oranges and blackberries
YUM
