Beer brewin time week 1


Boiling 5 gallons of water 

All of our supplies 

Oats and hops

boiling the oats and hops to make "Wort"



Adding honey to make it more alcoholic, the more sugar, the more alcohol 


Straining

We have wort
cooling down the wort in an ice bath 

Sanitize time 




everything had to be sanitized, better beer when everything is clean 



this added with yeast sits in our garage for two weeks!

The first portion of this took about 4-5 hours, the sanitizing took a lot of time, as well as boiling the water, then then hops and malty oats had to soak in the boling water for an hour and a half, then cooling down the mixture, took about another hour, constantly adding ice.
